I was born in Nebraska, my parents moved to Colorado when I was just two. We moved to Washington State by the time I was thirteen. After graduating I moved in with a family who took me to church and I found such love. I knew this is the life God had called me to live. I accepted Christ as my Savior and have served him faithfully since. In 1977, I married my high school sweetheart and we made nine beautiful children and homeschooled them all. He retired from the Air Force and now we live in Alaska on our cute little hobby farm. He still fixes airplanes and helps me out on this farm when I can’t figure something out. We bought a small log cabin and added onto it. We brought in water and electricity after six years of living without those things. I have been learning to grow food in a short season climate, and to keep chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and newly acquired alpacas. I store a lot of our food with canning and some drying and freezing. I have also been enjoying painting pictures with wool fibers from my sheep. A very interesting new art form for me. Please enjoy the parts of our lives I share with you here. I love my life… sometimes it is hard but so very good.
